One more ordinary Monday...

Playing catch-up after a long weekend.

Spent most of the morning answering emails and taking care of housekeeping. Revisions on a long-neglected draft. Hit the gym a little after noon, and got in a good light workout.

Finished my Christmas shopping for Dylan, then came home and did a little decorating.

Leek and potato soup tonight.

Dreams...

Back in the saddle.

First thing I want to do is finish a story. Meantime, gotta get in some shopping, present wrapping….

Worked out with my bud, Sol, for the first time in weeks. Needed a nap afterward.

Been pushing hard to make it a fruitful week. We’ll see where it goes. Meanwhile, same old, same old.

Weather’s supposed to be nice for the next couple of days. Might take a break and see if I can get in some fishing.

Can't ask for more...

Pleasant day all around.

Woke early, put in a good day at the keyboard, and managed to haul a load of leaves and branches off to Rockytop for recycling.

Weather was a little cooler than it’s been the past couple of weeks, but still nice. Forecast is for cold and maybe even snow in the next couple of days. We’ll see.

Tonight, pot pies and a movie.

Tomorrow, more Christmas decorations.

All in a day's work...

Put it to the test today.

Up early, did some good work on a reader draft, got in a nice workout at the gym, and late afternoon nap.

In other news, Kitcat finally warmed up to his new bed with the help of some catnip spray.

Christmas lights are coming along. House looks great.

Gonna clean up the yard tomorrow and see if we can’t make a trip to Rocky Top.

Taking care of business...

Busy day.

Got a little writing in before heading out to Verizon for a new iPhone. Rode the (G3) for many a year, but it was time to retire it. Have a new 15 now, and should be good for long haul. Hope so anyway.

Sent off a N critique mid-morning, answered a few emails, then went off to the gym.

Met with our estate lawyer late afternoon.

Productive day.

A lovely sunday...

Spent the day up in the San Isabel forest scouting for Christmas trees. Tried a lot of spots, but none of them gave us the look we were after, so we drove home skunked. Next try, Clear Lake.

Lost my cell while climbing, but somehow found it again. Guess that made it a lucky day despite the fact we didn’t find a tree.

Beat from all the fresh air and hiking. Looking forward to a nice quiet night.

Crime and punishment...

Went to bed early last night. By morning, all of the RSV vax side-effects were pretty well gone. Glad to have that behind me.

Did some good work on one of the new shorts. Should have it in place by the week’s end and ready to send out. Fingers crossed.

Hit the gym a little before noon, and got in a light workout. Came home and took care of business around the house.

Neighbors had their truck windows smashed out the night before. Hope it isn’t going to devolve into a trend.

Pins and needles...

Made a real effort to take advantage of an early morning rise, and saw it through. Did a lot of good work at the keyboard today. Less so at the gym, but not too bad there either.

Took a small nap early afternoon, then headed off to Walgreens for flu and RSV shots. Glad to have them out of the way, though one, the RSV, I think, left a huge welt on my arm.

No big plans for tomorrow. Gonna hook up with my pal, Sol, then take the rest of the day as it comes.

Just another day...

Most of the weekend’s snow melted today. Not sure if anything else is on the radar.

Woke late, but made the most of my time at the keyboard getting another short in order. Been more productive this past week—for reasons passing understanding—and hoping the juices don’t dry up for a while.

Left the house around noon to get a haircut. Then dropped by the gym for a quick workout.

Spent the rest of the afternoon grocery shopping.

Yup, that's it...

Woke to four, five, six inches of snow.

Shoveled early, then went to work on a new story.

Had a brief FT with Jack and Matt, then did a little shopping downtown.

Pretty quiet day, all in all.
